But the foolish girls said to the wise girls, 'Give us some of your oil. The oil in our lamps is all gone.' "The wise girls answered, 'No! The oil we have might not be enough for all of us. But go to the people that sell oil and buy some for yourselves.' "So the five foolish girls went to buy oil. While they were gone, the bridegroom came. The girls that were ready went in with the bridegroom to t! he wedding feast. Then the door was closed and locked. "Later the other girls came. The girls said, 'Sir, sir, open the door to let us in.' "But the bridegroom answered, 'I tell you the truth. I don't know you.' "So always be ready. You don't know the day or the time {when the Son of Man will come} ~Matt 25:1-13

Then I saw heaven opened, and a white horse was standing there. Its rider was named Faithful and True, for he judges fairly and wages a righteous war. His eyes were like flames of fire, and on his head were many crowns. A name was written on him that no one understood except himself. He wore a robe dipped in blood, and his title was the Word of God. The armies of heaven, dressed in the finest of pure white linen, followed him on white horses. From his mouth came a sharp sword to strike down the nations. He will rule them with an iron rod. He will release the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty, like juice flowing from a winepress. On his robe at his thigh was written this title: King of all kings and Lord of all lords ~Rev 19:11-16

I will praise the Lord, and may everyone on earth bless his holy name forever and ever ~Psalm 145:21

So, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you ~James 1:21

Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he... I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you ~Isaiah 46:4

I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert ~God (Isaiah 43:19) 

“I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is best for you, who directs you in the way you should go.” ~Isaiah 48:17

Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground ~Psalm 143:10

Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them ~Jesus (John 14:23)

The earth is filled with your love, LORD; teach me your decrees ~Psalm 119:64

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places ~Eph 6:12

Look up in the heavens. Who created all the stars? He brings them out like an army, one after another, calling each by its name ~Isaiah 40:26

All the nations of the world are but a drop in the bucket.. The Lord picks up the whole earth as though it were a grain of sand ~Isaiah 40:15

The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding ~Isaiah 40:28

Dear friends,let us purify ourselves from everything that contaminates body & spirit, perfecting holiness out of reverence for God~2 Cor 7:1

Your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit... You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies ~1 Cor 6:19-20

The Lord isn't slow in keeping his promise... he's patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance ~2 Peter 3:9

For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do ~Eph 2:10

The unfolding of your words gives light; it gives understanding to the simple ~Psalm 119:130

For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; it is he who will save us ~Isaiah 33:22

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form.. He is the head over every power and authority ~Col 2:9-10

Jesus is the one appointed by God to be judge of all.. everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven thru his name ~Acts 10:42

The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart ~1 Sam 16:7

As a face is reflected in water, so the heart reflects the real person ~Prov 27:19

Don’t wear yourself out trying to get rich. Be wise enough to know when to quit ~Prov 23:4

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all ~2 Cor 13:14

Christ was buried, he was raised on the third day... he appeared to more than 500 of the brothers and sisters at the same time ~1 Cor 15:4-6

Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, to bring salvation to those waiting for him ~Heb 9:28

You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word ~Psalm 119:114

I will praise you with an upright heart as I learn your righteous laws ~Psalm 119:7

You are the light of the world... let your light shine before others, so they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven ~Matt 5:14,16

For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace ~Rom 6:14

Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice ~Psalm 112:5

Who can win this battle against the world? Only those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God ~1 Jn 5:5

Loving God means keeping his commandments, and his commandments are not burdensome ~1 Jn 5:3

Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves whoever has been born of him ~1 Jn 5:1

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these” ~Matt 19:14

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives... Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid ~Jesus (Jn 14:27)

Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus ~1 Thes 5:16-18

As for God, his way is perfect: The LORD’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him ~Psalm 18:30

But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven ~Jesus (Matt 5:44)

For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him ~Phi 2:13

Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you ~Jer 32:17

The Lord will take up my case and give me justice... The Lord will bring me into the light, and I will see his righteousness ~Micah 7:9

Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light ~Micah 7:8

As for me, I look to the Lord for help. I wait confidently for God to save me, and my God will certainly hear me ~Micah 7:7

What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul? ~Mark 8:36

The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights ~Hab 3:19

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you ~Col 3:13

Not a single person on earth is always good and never sins ~King Solomon (Eccl 7:20)

Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God ~Psalm 90:2

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints ~Psalm 116:15

So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband ~Eph 5:33

Yours, LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours ~1 Chron 29:11

For though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again ~Prov 24:16

But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts ~Psalm 103:17-18

Would Jesus ever divorce his people?  No.  And likewise...

A man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church. ~Ephesians 5:31-32

"Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery” ~Jesus (Matt 19:8-9)

When the going gets tough, as is expected from two sinners, don't bail.

Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! ~Rom 11:33

As you don't know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother's womb, so you can't know the work of God, Maker of all things ~Eccl 11:5

When my bones were being formed, carefully put together in my mother's womb, when I was growing there in secret, you knew I was there ~Psalm 139:15

"O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever, and for revealing them to people who are like little children. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way!" ~Jesus (Matt 11:25-26)

For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him ~John 3:17

God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them ~Heb 6:10

But the words you speak come from the heart—that’s what defiles you ~Matt 15:18

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved ~Rom 10:9

Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves ~Rom 12:10

Yes, I am the gate for the sheep. Those who come in through me will be saved ~Jesus (John 10:9)

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life ~Jesus (John 10:10)

Listen! I am sending you, and you will be like sheep among wolves. So be smart like snakes. But also be like doves and do nothing wrong ~Matt 10:16

Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is ~1 John 3:2

So we tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us ~Col 1:28

The riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory ~Col 1:27

For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself ~Col 1:19-20

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation ~Col 1:15

No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us ~John 1:18

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son ~John 1:14

Be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." ~Jesus (Matt 28:20)

God has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have the forgiveness of sins ~Col 1:13

Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people ~Col 3:23

Because Jesus lives forever, his priesthood lasts forever. He is able, once & forever, to save those who come to God through him ~Heb 7:24

We are confident, even though we know living in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord. We live by believing and not by seeing ~2 Cor 5:6-7

Through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you receive this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day ~1Peter 1:5

It is written: "As surely as I live, says the Lord, every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God." -Rom 14:11

Anyone who knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, commits sin ~James 4:17

I don't want animal sacrifices; I want you to show kindness to people. I didn't come to invite good people. I came to invite sinners ~Matt 9:13

I give them eternal life, & they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand... I & the Father are one ~Jesus (John 10:28-30)

For since death came through a man (Adam), the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man (Jesus) ~1 Cor 15:21-22

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep ~1 Cor 15:20

The message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God ~1 Cor 1:18

Jesus himself bore our sins, in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness ~1 Peter 2:24

Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law ~Rom 13:8

he fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control ~Gal 5:22

Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves & take up their cross daily and follow me ~Jesus (Luke 9:23)

Everyone has sinned; we all fail God’s glorious standard. Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares us righteous through Jesus ~Rom 3:23

After Jesus had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven ~Heb 1:3b

The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word ~Heb 1:3a

Jesus healed all the people that were sick. Jesus did these things to make happen what Isaiah the prophet had said ~Matt 8:16-17

I am praying for them. I am not praying for the world but for those whom you have given me, for they are yours ~Jesus (Jn 17:9)

The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me ~Gal 2:20

This is how we know what love is: Jesus laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters ~1 John 3:16

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace ~Eph 1:7

And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again ~2 Cor 5:15

This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him ~1 John 4:9

Let us run the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates & perfects our faith ~Heb 12:1-2

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline ~2 Tim 1:7

Only fools say in their hearts, “There is no God.” ~Psalm 14:1

My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge ~Psalm 62:7

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all ~Isaiah 53:5-6

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit ~Rom 15:13

Blessed is one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him. They are like a tree planted by water with roots by the stream ~Jer 17:7

Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk; from it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good ~1 Peter 2:2-3

Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes ~Eph 6:10-11

The way you give to other people will be the way God gives to you ~Jesus (Matt 7:2)

So don't worry about tomorrow. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Tomorrow will have its own worries ~Jesus (Matt 6:34)

As God’s chosen people, holy & dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness & patience ~Col 3:12

If you don't forgive the wrong things people do to you, your Father in heaven will not forgive the wrong things you do ~Jesus (Matt 6:15)

Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others ~Col 3:13

In your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always have an answer ready to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope you have ~1 Peter 3:15

How you look at people makes you the kind of person you are. If you look at people and want to help them, you will be full of light (goodness) ~Matt 6:22

Earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever ~Psalm 73:25-26

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go ~Joshua 1:9

LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, planned long ago ~Isaiah 25:1

He has saved us and called us to a holy life... This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time ~2 Tim 1:9

"Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest" ~Jesus (Matt 11:28)

Christ, our Passover Lamb, has been sacrificed for us. So let us celebrate, not with wickedness and evil, but with sincerity and truth ~1 Cor 5:8
