The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it ~John 1:4‭-‬5

Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me ~Jesus (John 14:1)

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God ~Titus 2:11‭-‬12

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son ~John 1:14

But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship ~Galatians 4:4-5

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace ~Isaiah 9:6

And Mary said: “My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for the Mighty One has done great things for me— holy is his name.” ~Luke 1:46-47, 49

The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! ~Luke 2:11

An angel of the Lord said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, & you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins"~Matt 1:20-21

But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High" ~Luke 1:30-31

The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end ~Luke 1:32-33

Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel ~Isaiah 7:14

“Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal" ~Jesus (Matthew 6:19)

And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him ~2 Corinthians 5:18

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow ~James 1:2‭-‬3

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness ~Colossians 2:6-7

Jesus spoke to the people once more and said, “I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” ~John 8:12

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” ~John 14:6

God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God ~Matthew 5:8

Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked ~Luke 6:35

Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. ~Galatians 6:10

"I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.” ~Jesus (John 10:14-15)

Then Jesus declared, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” ~John 6:35

Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble ~Proverbs 13:20

In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe ~Hebrews 1:1-2

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts ~Colossians 3:16

Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good ~Romans 12:21

Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path ~Psalm 119:105

Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song ~Psalm 95:1-2
